Agreements and memorandum of understanding on the sidelines of the Africa Conference 2019 worth 10 billion pounds
Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Dr. Sahar Nasr signed a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding on the sidelines of the 2019 Africa Conference, in the presence of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
Dr. Sahar Nasr signed a 42-million-dollar economic and technical cooperation agreement to finance various development projects in Egypt.
The second agreement included a loan of 82 million dollars from the Kuwait Fund for Development, to finance the construction of the horizontal road No. 4, which will link North Sinai governorate to South Sinai. A Memorandum of Understanding with Dr. Sahar Nasr, Minister of Investment, to amend a framework agreement to reorganize the work of the private sector in Egypt.
Nasr and the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development signed an agreement to obtain a loan of 10.8 million euros to support the national electricity grid and an additional financing agreement worth 50 million dollars for Suez Zain Manufacturing Company to improve the energy efficiency and performance of the refinery.
In addition, a financing contract for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises worth 45 million euros was signed, signed by Dr. Nevin Gamea, head of the Small and Medium Enterprises Authority
